Missouri workers' comp settlement chart

Missouri pays a permanent injury to a listed body part for a set number of weeks. A thumb is 60 weeks.

Each week pays 66.67% of your average weekly wage, up to $678 a week (injuries on or after 2026-07-01 through 2027-06-30).

At the maximum rate, that comes to $40,691; partial loss of use pays that share of the weeks.

Weeks are for the loss listed (severance, total loss of use, or proportionate loss of use). Where the loss is total by severance or complete loss of use, the schedule weeks are increased by 10% (287.190.2).

Injuries not on the chart

Scheduled loss: schedule weeks x weekly PPD rate (66 2/3% of average weekly earnings, capped at the PPD maximum); partial loss of use of an arm, hand, thumb, finger, leg, foot, toe or phalange is paid for the proportionate loss of use, and a total loss adds 10% to the schedule weeks. Injuries not on the schedule (including body as a whole such as back) are paid for a period proportionate to the scheduled injuries, not more than 400 weeks, and include loss of earning power (287.190.3). Up to 40 weeks of additional compensation is possible for serious disfigurement of the head, neck, hands or arms (287.190.4).

What a settlement adds or takes away

The chart is the statute's payment for a permanent injury. A lump-sum settlement can differ: it may also close out future medical care or wage loss, and the insurer and the judge must agree. A workers' comp lawyer in Missouri can tell you what your rating is likely to be.
